It's that time of the year again! Open sign-ups are live, and can be completed HERE.
The 2018 CrossFit Open will begin on February 22nd! For 5 weeks, a workout will be announced each Thursday night, along with movement standards for "Rx," "Scaled," and "Masters" versions of that workout. Athletes will have until the following Monday to complete said workout, in the presence of a certified coach/judge.
Heats for each Open WOD will be on Friday nights (5pm), Saturday mornings (8am), and Monday nights (5pm). If you need to complete a workout outside of the provided heat times, please speak privately with one of our coaches.
Right now you might be saying to yourself, "What's the purpose of all this? Who is this even for? I'm not a competitive athlete." Anyone that's done the Open will tell you: it is so much more than just a fitness competition for elite athletes. The Open is for everyone.
For new members, it's an opportunity to track your progress in an official setting; a starting point that you can look back and reflect on, for years to come. For the more experienced, it's an incredible opportunity to set goals, and push your limits. It offers something for ALL participants and fitness levels. But above all else, it's an experience and a chance to test yourself. We highly encourage ALL members to participate. At the end of the day, it's only 5 workouts.
